Commercial Vanity Materials: Laminate, Veneer, Quartz, and Sintered Stone
A comparison framework for selecting cabinet and surface materials in hospitality vanity programs.

In this guide
This guide provides a procurement framework, not a substitute for project engineering, code review, contractual terms, or product-specific documentation.
Separate cabinet material from top material
The cabinet, exposed edges, drawer components, backsplash, top, and wall interface may use different materials. Specify each location rather than naming one finish for the complete vanity.
Review laminate and veneer by application
Commercial laminate can support repeatable color and practical maintenance. Veneer can provide natural variation and a richer material expression. Review edge construction, matching, repair expectations, and approved samples.
Compare stone options with the project team
Quartz-like and sintered-stone surfaces differ by supplier, thickness, edge fabrication, support requirements, cutouts, and care instructions. Confirm the selected product and fabrication detail before approval.
Detail wet-area interfaces
Coordinate sink, faucet, backsplash, wall, mirror, plumbing access, sealant, and cabinet protection. A durable surface does not correct an unresolved joint or service-access problem.
Approve physical samples
Digital images are useful for direction but do not establish exact color, texture, sheen, or production variation. Record the approved sample, product reference, and revision with the model-room package.
